Men's Gathering

Building on our Habitat for Humanity partnership, the men of First Presbyterian and Central Presbyterian will have a joint gathering in the spring and the fall.  The spring gathering will be held at First Presbyterian on Wednesday, May 7th at 6:30pm.  David Bailey will speak on the theme:

'Men:  Learning to Live in Hope'

Men of all ages are welcome.  Please call our church office by April 30 to make a reservation for the meal.  The meal is being prepared by the First Presbyterian men and will cost $5.00.

Pentecost Sunday

On May 11, which is Pentecost Sunday, the members, pastor and choir of Mt. Carmel CME Church will be joining us for worship and helping lead worship.  Mt. Carmel is an African-American congregation in the Morningside Community, and used to be the site where we delivered Saturday Servant meals.  Their building had structural problems and is being renovated, so they have been visiting other congregations during this period.  They hope to be back in their church later in the summer.  Please be prepared to extend a cordial welcome!
