Annual Minister's Cook Off

The annual Minister's Cook Off will be held at the Farmer's Market on Thursday, May 1st, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.  Tickets will cost $1 each and will entitle you to sample a dish prepared by different ministers in the community, including our own David Bailey.  All proceeds will benefit the Safe Harbor Women's Shelter.

Saturday Servants

Saturday Servants is a ministry that Central participates in on the first Saturday of each month.  Since the Soup Kitchen is closed on the weekends, Saturday Servants was founded to help feed the hungry of Anderson.  Different groups prepare 240 bag lunches.   These lunches consist of either a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich or a Turkey & Cheese sandwich, piece of fruit, chips, cookies and a drink.  Once they are prepared, we deliver them to the Morningside Community Center for distribution.  Each person gets two bag lunches, one for Saturday and one for Sunday.  If you would like to help with this great ministry, please contact Danny Mize at 314-4428.
